Book – The Laws of the Spirit World
Author – Khorshed Bhavnagiri
Where do I begin! Few years back, I went into depression, lost it all and now moving ahead with the bits and parts of this and that! Having read this book I know for sure, I could have been saved! Not that I died, but lot of things were lost in the year long drama that depression caused in my life. When I started reading the book, I thought to myself, what nonsense drama in this book. All of this is already something I know about, but continued reading it for its completion.
Having read this book entirely, I know for sure that this is a must read book. It helps you anchor on things, gives you perspective on life and in some ways enables you to understand yourself and your life better, rather lead your life better.
WHY DID IT MATTERED TO ME?
It is upto you to find out people you should help and which people you should not help because if you help an evil soul, you are encouraging evil.
this was an eye opener for me! Honestly, sometimes when I read through these and tell my friends that I learnt this today, they come back to me telling these are the basics bro! How don’t you know this. Everyone knows this! May be I have been way to lost in life, to know the basics. So, when I was in Bhubaneshwar or even later on, I always thought that whoever is asking for help I should give it to them. I would often fight myself, work myself more to help others, sometimes to people who did not appreciated it much as well! This was like a lesson to the 23-24 year old version of me, that we are all alone and even to the 30 year old version of me, that not every pain has to be felt by me! It is important to count my blessings, to pray for people in pain, if possible help, but trust God that the power shall be with them. Attracting other people miseries into my life, well, not a good idea!
face your problems with a smile!
How the book explains it is that we all get problems in life. We all have, I also have. earlier, I would not talk about them, there did even come a time when I smiled at them, but then in the current moment, I was cribbing a lot. A lot! A lot about everything wrong, how others were behaving this and that! I was smiling when there were real problems in my life, and crying when there are none! This was a reminder to myself, that it is important to be positive, to lamp a Diya everyday, no matter how dark it gets, it is important to choose light.
Open your subconscious mind!
This was indeed another lesson. The fact that there is a part of us that already know what is best for us, know what has to be done, knows the best for us. And then there is a part that want to lay down, wants to hold us back and we have a choice of choosing. I know we all know it, we all have heard of it, but sometimes, often times, a gentle reminder could do wonders.
The Gift
Every body in this world has been given a gift, it is your duty, mind it duty and not choice, not free will, but duty to work upon the gift, to use it for the better of the world. The more you use the gift, the better your life goes. This was a concept that was blurred out in my mind. I always thought we all have a gift and we can choose to work or not. But, the fact that not choosing it, means you are denying the fact that it is indeed your duty to get it done, is a big deal. How well you will be able to do it, is a different story, but you must use your gift, use it for the betterment of the world, and try your best to do it more often and strive for being best in it.
This book talks about what and why of life, could act as a guide for you in tough times and is definitely a must read. Make sure though that when you read it, you read it with open mind, as though talking to someone you are ready to listen to. If required read it/ listen to it, as often you would want to meet a friend/guide.
