Let’s get into its ingredients –

1. Mint – This is an okayish ingredient. Considering it is on top list, this must be most used in this toner. It offers cooling and a refreshing sensation to the face. It has some antimicrobial effects, so helps in acne control. The tingling sensation of this product, can promote blood flow for a healthy glow and the astringent effects help minimize oil production. But, it can be too harsh for sensitive skin.
2. Rose Water – This provides hydration and balances skin pH. It can also help to tighten pores and the antioxidants protect against the environmental damage.
3. Glycerin – This again is a good ingredient. Glycerin offers hydration, strengthens skin barrier, improves elasticity and helps other skincare ingredients to absorb more evenly or smoothly.
4. Propylene Glycol – the natural alternative of this is Propanediol . It acts as a humectant, and attracts water from the environment and puts it into the deeper layers of the skin surface, keeping the skin hydrated. It also acts as a solvent to help dissolve other ingredients. It increases the absorption of other ingredients into the skin.
5. Aloe Vera Extract – This is again a good ingredient. It contains over 75 bioactive compounds, and helps sooth irritation, so good for acne. It also hydrates deeply, gives you sunburn relief. It also promotes skin regeneration and reduces scarring or inflammation, helps fight acne-causing bacteria and prevent infection. Aloe Vera Extract, also fights free radicals, and slows signs of aging and support collagen repair.
6. PEG-12 Dimethicone – This is not entirely natural and although considered safe in cosmetics, it did come under scrutiny for environmental concerns.
