The Question of Love

If there is a question that has boggled my mind for the longest time it has to be ‘what is love’? I have always been fascinated around the stories I had seen on television, the portrayals on big screen, the ideas of love. But what is love?

When I met a couple who would fight all day and then sleep together peacefully, as if the tom and jerry who could not survive without each other, I thought that is love.. When I found a boy who would want to fight with me all day, I thought what the hell is this, well love it was not.

Then I met someone, whose man would care all day long, they would meet and cuddle every time they met. She would cook food for him and he would buy the groceries. To me it seemed loved, I wished for it, I got it! But, somehow I could not be the one wanting someone everyday on my door to pick me up!

With all the failures and mess ups, I now know and know for sure, that love is not meant to be found, it is meant to be defined and the more you define it from what comes from within the happier it will make you.

Because there is no one love, no one definition of love! The end result might be same for all, but the path, the journey that is unique for all. Some people find love in having the morning tea together, some find it in reading a book at night together, some find it in doing crazy sex together, while some just like to help each other in house errands.

But whichever the form it takes, it always brings peace to the soul, calms the mind, and leaves you for longing more, for delving deeper into it. It never makes you feel like you are starving or hungry, but always wanting more.
