If governments fail to support arts financially, many art galleries and theatres would not be able to survive.
Hence, in my opinion supporting art galleries is beneficial for not only the individuals but also society in large.

However, there is no denying that matter of education, poverty and health are of serious concern and do need an undivided attention. In my opinion, the government must definitely work towards the improvement of these sectors, but in parallel must give importance to the emerging sector of arts as well.
