ANSWER
Hi Christabel,
How have you been since we last met?
I thought I would drop you a line and see if you are fancy coming over for Holi night which is on March 24.
Holi night is a great event in India, particularly in my hometown. It starts as soon as the sun has set because the event is held around a huge bonfire. As the weather is cold, the bonfire adds a wonderful warmth. Although, it sounds some fancy bonfire, it has its own religious importance.
Holika was a demoness in our Vedic scriptures and Holika Dahan signifies the triumph of good over evil. It is celebrated the day before Holi festival, the festival of colors! On the day of the colors, that is the Holi day, we play with colors and water and celebrate life. You are definitely going to enjoy it.
When you are over, you will be able to do a trip to North India, the one you really wanted to do.. You will be able to visit the places with all the amazing colors, markets lit up and meet different people. You can enjoy the different cuisines and spend some time in the exciting places all over North.
I really hope you will be able to come over. It won’t be same without you.
Write back soon,
Avantika
