IELTS Writing Task # Animals

A growing number of people feel that animals should not be exploited by people and that they should have the same rights as humans, while others argue that humans must employ animals to satisfy their various needs, including uses for food and research.

Discuss both views and give your opinion.

SAMPLE ANSWER

Nature in itself is one of the driving forces around. It could be the workings of the human beings or animals or trees, we all are part of nature. However, with time people have come into the considerations where they think that humans are the most important form of any nature beings and they can use the other elements for their improvement. Although, I believe that there are both sides to it, exploitation of animals for mere improvement of human kind is not supportive from my end.

There are various breeds of nature available in the nature, with some on the verge of extinction while there are others who are present in our nature in abundance. With the world issues evolving, often the only living being to test on is the animals, there is no doubt that things are moving faster than one can think of! We have issues to solve, and for that testing on humans might not be the best option available.

However, we need to see not only on the intensity but the ways in which it is done! For instance, if an animal is dead, we can use the body for testing purpose or for that matter if the animal is suffering from a disease, in which case he or she is going to die! But, using an animal, even more, the ones that are on the verge of extinction for human purposes, might not be something I support of!

Overall, animal testing is sometimes the only option available to avoid bigger mascares, but making it an habit or for that matter another option, might be the alternative we are not looking for.
