Pipli is a craft village between Puri and Bhubaneswar! The bad part, even if you are not going to Puri, you got to pay the toll tax!! What is in there? Well, for Pipli, there is handmade stuff. You can find paintings, home decor, bags, clothes and so much more, and all of it is handmade. I found a painting made on a leaf, well that was amazing in its own sense. The beauty of it was in the intricacies with which it was painted and then there are reused bottles.

Have a look at these bottles! I mean they are the same bottles that we have refused to use ever again, thrown them away and look what art has done to them, brought back to life! Hey, you can even find things like this-

Are you interested in going to Pipli? Well, if you like handmade things then go there for sure. And wait patiently in Pipli! Do not just go to the shops, buy things for a lot of prices and be fooled. Look around, compare prices and after some shop maybe you will find people who will take you to their homes, the place where their entire stuff actually is present.
You get to see the poverty they live in hoping that someday people will appreciate their art! Poverty because after all who has the time to buy these things. And then we have an amazing art of bargaining, which we are not able to apply at malls and so use it in places where we already are getting things for cheap!
The best way to visit Pipli would be your drive way from Konark. It takes around 4 hours to explore the entire of Pipli and buy whatever you wish. You surely will be amazed at the art that the people of Pipli have to offer.
