The Train Journey

I don’t know why but for some reasons I just wanted to travel on my own and experience taking those tickets and talking to people I never met. So, this time after around 22 years I got this chance where I had to travel alone.

It was Saturday noon and my brother called to ask if I would come to Bangalore, for a second I thought let it be, but then I just went. Now, going from Mysore to Bangalore is easy because there is only station and there are few trains ( but with trains make sure you take the express train because passenger is shit). It took me around 60 bucks to reach Bangalore and then around 200 to reach my brother’s house. So, keep in mind all you Bangalore travelers, make sure you know where you are going. There are I think four major railway stations and then several others. So, figure out the one which is near to your destination and stop there only.
My first train journey i.e. from Mysore to Bangalore was good and I was stunned by the innocence of a child. You know there was this girl who came to our seat and asked the girl sitting in front of me to give her a cold drink. Her mother was staring at her from far and she with her cute side looks was sometimes looking back at her mother, although she did not stopped taking sip of the cold drink. After she was done, she went back, hugged her mother and brought the girl in front of me, a cake. Sweet it was, some people just keep thinking about what they should do, but she with lot of trust and faith just came and had a drink. I know, you must be thinking it was stupid, it could have been possible that the cold drink had something mixed and so many other things. But what I really liked was her innocence, she did not knew about anything, no fear, no worries and did it.
And then there was this guy in this train, completely drunk without any ticket and was roaming here and there, for a second we thought that he might just as well fall down. But thank fully nothing of such happened.
After all of this, I reached Bangalore and had great fun. Now when returning back I though that I would go back the way I came. But this time, I searched for the train and all, the timing everything. After all of it, a friend of mine called to ask if I was interested in going along with him. Very confidently I said a NO. I had figured out my way and thought to stick by it. But this it got messed up. The railway station I went said there are no trains available from there and had to rush to the main station. There I did got the train and the funny part or the tragic part was that, I and my friend came in the same train but in different seats. The best part he saw me the moment I stepped down the train in Mysore. Either ways I met two girls in the train, one was in production and the other in internship in my own company. It was nice talking to her and she told me about how things work in Infosys in Production department.
So, the first train journey of mine was good. But, if you are out there trying to go on their first journey, I would say, make sure you know a little about the city and the train you are boarding. Accidents don’t happen just like that, they happen when one is not prepared. And yes, I know I could have gone with my friend, but then may be next time. So, if ever have a chance go for it. Life is meant to be lived together, alone one only takes birth and dies..
