And I said, “Thank you Google”! Well the story begins, just like a Hindi movie begins. Its winter. Brother has arrived on his winter vacations. Father came for few days because of those government holidays, mother is excited and the sister is like “ohk, fine! They have just come and not bring the world cup with them” (usual sister)!! The room is set. The heater is on, tea is ready and a family reunion is going on. Everyone is telling their own story, laughing, taunting and enjoying. The night seems to be great when finally everyone disperse! Father goes towards television, mother towards kitchen, brother towards computer and the sister is still relaxing, chilling, enjoying the heater!!
Boom Bang! The thought that shakes the sister up! The brother is with computer alone and there is no password set! Oh my god!! She rushes towards the computer room, only to realize he is just watching some videos and then he leaves. Sigh!! I (the sister) am relaxed but then, hey there has something to be done about this! Brother has come to stay for a while. So there I go change the security settings of my D drive. Change the permissions. And as far as I remember I did gave all the permissions to the administrator and the system but yes did removed those from other authorized users. Yippee! I am happy! The changes have been made and now everything is under control!!
But then hey hey hey! What’s this!! I go on click on my D drive and it says “access denied”! The ego is hurt! I mean come on, I am the administrator! Do you get it? The administrator!! And this stupid window denied me!! There is tension, a feeling of loss and few abusive languages towards myself! Why did I even try it!! I am such a bad sister! May be that’s why it happened!! And then it’s like!! Come on you idiot! You created the problem so that you can solve it! So keep calm and go to Google now! I tell my Google the problem the way I could have told my God. It sounded like this, “I have made a mistake. I have changed the D drive privacy settings and now I can’t even access it! Please help”! GO! The Google responded back,( I thought may be faster than god). There were so many pages, ready to help me! I clicked on the second page. It said,” No problem, you are not alone! It happens with so many. And here is the solution. Just do this, this and that and the problem will be solved! Have a nice day”. I did the same and the problem was solved. “The moment of joy arrived and I said “THANK YOU GOOGLE”!

But then I realized I should have said thank you god! And this made me think “Is Google the new god?”. I would say may be yes! It’s the God that replies fast. It helps you in every way. Whether you ask help in assignments or broken relationships. Even when you want to know, “what should you wear on date or in an interview?” May be you are screwed up and Google says, wait go for these quotes! You are happy and Google says hey come on post it! You missed the match yesterday and watch it in You Tube! You can’t decide what to do and Google helps you. Just type in, “what to do?”. You forgot the address, go to Google maps! You clicked a photo that turns out to be not so cool, go to Picasa. You have got yourself into a problem, just type in the problem! Google does give the solution!! There are exactly 39 different kinds of extra help that Google does and the best part it tells you about them. Just click on the button on its home page, next to images!

I say Google is godly amazing. It helps you, in the language you prefer, with the speed you like and promises to never crash! So will it be wrong to say that “Google is the new God, the tech God, which is here on Earth and I can see it”??
